But all and all one **** of a job sir! one **** of a job!! David

This one is for my new \" Tight Fit \" buddy , Josh
These are a common replacement boiler for our company . What's not common is the 3 zones connected to it , and the aquabooster on the 2nd floor - the one me and Sal installed last week . We talked the homeowner into a new boiler while we installed the heater . Good timing too - the original radiant floor has a leak . They're going to convert to baseboard if they can't find the leak .0 -
Peerless
is the only boiler that fits in nice where all the tappings are in good spots . Cleaning from the top is hard , but doable . After all the work to keep everything accesible , the homeowner told us she's going to relocate the boiler to the garage in the fall .
This one was just me and Ken on last Friday . That first Yuengling later on that evening never tasted better .0 -
That's quite a supply of drinks there....
... working in the sahara of LI again, I see?
But seriously, looks like someone did a nice job of looping the soft copper piping to meet all the critical points on the boiler. Is that the expansion tank on top? Also looks like a very large B&G circulator!0 -
You DA man Ron !
I'd have quit a long time ago if I faced these nightmares. Captain Shoehorn rides again ! Chris0 -
That was me
I knew we were going back to change out the boiler , so..... a little extra copper never hurt . You know , I never even looked at the nicknacks on the shelf ? Oops , I didn't even see the soda on the floor . Tunnelvision . Yep , thats an old compression tank , and that B+G is friggin' heavy . Thanks Constantin .0 -
Well...
.... by the looks of it, after you guys were done, the Bud light case was half empty... so much for the soft drinks! ;-P
But seriously, that is one heck of an install considering how much space you were given. I like the steel header that allows you to hang all sorts of things off of it, the accessible oil filter and expansion tank, the neat plumbing, the full-flow valves, etc.
Maintaining some aspects of this boiler will require multiple-jointed-arms and/or creativity and experience, but that's the price you pay for an install that should have been given a bit more space to become a work of art.0 -
Actually
it was 2 1/2 inches to the chimney . There is a cover that fits over the whole system . 51 inch height by 24 width by 34 depth . As long as we fit the whole enchilada under it , we're A-OK . We keep the boiler off the chimney because the cover has a wheel that sits inside . I found out the hard way about that wheel .....
Thanks a million David .0 -
I hold
my shoehorn up high , and proud ! Waiting for the day I can install , once again , standing up straight ! Thanks alot Chris .0 -
We always try
to keep it all easy to service , but sometimes it just can't be done . I looked at the top from a birds eye view and saw it was a pain in the a.. to clean , but quite simply , there was no choice . It's a damned if you do or don't situation - you move the LWCO or circs somewhere else , what will they be blocking there ?
But , all in all , I can guarantee a servicemen would rather tackle this than a Low York , or a GE , or the dreaded Tall York . Thanks Constantin for your insight and compliments .0 -

Ya know
When I sit here at night and look at some of the spot's they want you to stick boilers, it make's my day seem so easy. I hope your boss's realize how dam lucky they are to have you guy's doing their install work. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take some day's off and see if I can find the sun someplace!!0 -
Clammy
These installs aren't too bad once you get the hang of it . The truck is only 15 feet away , same level . The piping is all right there . The only stumbling block is extra zones or pipes . We had one a few years back with 8 pipes down the chimney . That was a horror . Thank you very much Clammy .0 -
Are you implying
there isn't any homes near you with the boiler in the kitchen ? Off the floor in the kitchen ? Or under the stairs ? You lucky , lucky dog .
The guys in charge rarely get to see the work we do . Any problems that arise a servicemen goes back to take care of . But they know I take pride in what we do . How far did you have to go to find some sun ? Thanks alot Lchmb ?0 -
the master
once again Ron shows hews the master at close installs great job ron
