Was it slow and steady that won the race?

I re-vented the mains, vented the risers, and replaced some radiator vents that were old or ineffective. The house's heat is now well balanced, faster, more efficient, and under lower pressure.
But, I have two problems:
1) I now get expansion noises (creaking and some pops)that I didn't used to get. I assume this is because the pipes and radiators now heat up more quickly.
2) I hear the boiler's water feed more often (every few weeks). I wonder if this is because the water can boil off faster under lower pressure, and the boiler gets low faster than the condensate can get back to it.

So should I be worried, should I step down the vents?
