Energy Star t stats

one of the nice extras. The customer may think the world of her heating/AC contractor but doesn't want to see "MaGillicuddy heating and air" every time she walks past the stat. With the door branding, the critical info is under the front cover. The customer goes to the stat first in the event of a malfunction so the service info is right there. Fill out the branding form, submit and Braeburn will print you 48 doors...no charge. I've been selling Braeburn for about 4 yrs. I think if you try them you will like them.

    radiant T stat.

i am interested in some information for a t stat with an energy star rating to use with my taco zone valves on radiant heat. this is all radiant i do not have slab sensors ,someone cautioned us not to use a certain t stat a few months back as it was energy robbing. Any help? there is no A/c only heating. Thanks.

    Believe you've misunderstood "energy robbing".

The energy is "robs" is merely low-voltage control power. If the thermostat steals too much power from the control system, the zone valves might not have enough power left to operate properly. The energy required to run a thermostat is inconsequential compared to the energy required to heat a home.

i was under the impression t was causing the capacitors to

discharge (the zone valves capacitors). previously i was using the luxpro and was curious about the programmable honeywell 1002 D. i also was wondering if there was one strickly for heating applications.
  • with taco

When using the taco zone valves and erie tstats, must use the reistor that comes with the package, otherwise, the valve won't work.... Wished the reistor had longer wire for easier hook up... Eries, are u reading this?

You might want to try Braeburn

There is a new heat only model (1005)just being introduced. We have done very well with them on radiant equipment. Non power stealing. www.braeburnonline.com

take alook at www.icmcontrols.com you'll like these. they have a couple dual power models. if it acts weird as a hardwired, just pop in the batteries & go!
