may convert mom's house from oil to gas
If we do, I'm wondering if there are reputable service companies servicing boilers they did not install. Many of the good installers will only service the boiler for a year. Keyspan is an obvious choice but I'd like to know of others. Most likely would be a modulating, maybe mod-con, Buderus, WeilMcLain, etc. This is Nassau County, Long Island New York.
Thanks,

Service.
Your Q: is actually the norm rather than the exception. I do mostly service and I dont care what equipment is in there now or whom installed it. The end goal is to help. Call around and ask if they are willing to come out and help you.

Thanks as always guys; though one of the pros bidding on
the job is a wally, Id made an incorrect assumption that most installers dont offer maintenance. Needed to be reminded of the find-a-pro list. Since it would be for my Mom who's in her 80s, I'd like to have an outfit big enough to have a truck in the area somewhere for a quick response for a no-heat situation. I see at least two on the site that are near enough to fit the bill.
Oh well, back to sealing and insulating my own house for next winter......
David
