    Cast iron baseboard can be homely but i really like it for heating and have used it in my own place. Usually it is about 9 inches high but occasionaly it is 7 inches high.
    I see it going to waste when better homes of the 50's and 60's are torn down here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in order to build mansions or condos. Often there is an estate sale or tear-down sale before the demolition. Would it help anyone to post it when I see it available? Last year I had a seller agree to give it to me for a dollar a foot. Eg , last weekend ther was such a house just behind the old Guthrie theater.

    is approx $31 a foot (Burnham 9A) So for a buck a foot I hope someone can use it.

    so sad.....

    So sad that they are tearing down homes with hydronic system that I worked/repaired over the years, some homes I was able to removed cast baseboards and "new" weil mclain boilers... no charges, most homes, builders won't let or don't care what in the teardown as long its down quickly and built fast and cheap with scorched air sytem all for the money and disregard of the new owner's comfort...
    I know, as I'm putting in radiant heat and new cast iron baseboard in redesgined "sun" room in a 3 yrs old mcmansion for their kids comfort...
