Really interesting reading on alternative fuels

It's to a bunch of articles that ran in Popular Mechanics magazine. The link will take you to page one of an article entitled "how far can you drive on a bushel of corn" ............or something like that. There are a total of 8 articles covering all sorts of alternative fuels from ethanol and methanol to compressed natural gas. Although the articles are written looking at alternatives from a transportation viewpoint, you can easily see that many of the same problems noted would apply to home heating also. There's also a bar at the bottom of the first page that opens a menu to other alt/en articles. I think the solar house that Mark Eatherton worked on is in there. Check out the one on methane hydrates for something not even on the "radar" yet.
