AC in Trailer
Does any manufacture make a trailer oil furnace with a A coil ??? If not what would be the best way to central ac a single wide ?0 -
Check
Miller they have a downflow furnace with a coil box. Do not know how 13 seer has affected that market. The other method is to install MH package unit and duct it in after the furnace. Best Wishes J.Lockard0 -
Return
I will check Miller .....Any ideas for the return ? The Lady hates a floor return...0 -
Return
If you can use a coil the return is the door just like in heating mode, if you use the package unit it is in the floor, you have to cut it in.

Also
Coleman makes one too.
What make & model are there now ? That would influence my choice.

Nordyne makes the CMF-80 I have had good luck with it. You might also check out the Thermo Pride this promises to be a great unit. I do not care for the Coleman.0 -
Return
I hate the way MH furnaces do the thru the door return. The way I solve it is by placing a piece of sheet metal behind the louvered door and cuttting in a filtered return grill up high above the furnace. Best Wishes J.Lockard0 -
Floor returns
Do not work that well, with a low supply and a low return all the cold air stays on the floor. Over the years I have done different things to pull the hot air off the ceiling, including placing a large cardboard box with both ends open over the return. MH's can leave alot to be desired some days. Best Wishes J.Lockard0 -
MMG-82
SC that furnace, not made since '72 and next to impossible to get a damper under. Probably cracked anyway. A new CMF would likely drop their fuel bill 20%+. Although an M series with a coil box is easier for AC. The CMF uses a package unit w/ a damper under the furnace.
