hydro air unit in garage

It is an easy way to have A/C and heat. Something to think about: The duct system needs to be sealed off from the garage area for fire code reasons. You can possibly do this with fire dampers in the duct. Or build a small mechaical room to house the air handler in the back of the garage, all the duct work would have to be enclosed as well.

Best bet is to check with the local building inspector regarding local code requirements. Tell them what you want to do and they can give you basic design parameters.

    If you've got the dough....

You can have anything you want. Why are you asking for hydro-air instead of wet heat? Is it an occasional space? Does it need to be seperate from the rest of the home...with freeze protection not used in the "normal" living space?

Anything is possible, but what is the BEST way... Chris

    above the garage living space

This is an especially good place to have in floor radiant heat!

You will warm the part of the room that needs it the most, but if that is not in your budget, how about some hot water baseboard?
