decent solar controllers?

We carry a line of German made controllers. Steca Solar Electronics are typical of the European well thought out controls. The model TR 0301 has just become ETL listed and is great for basic solar dhw system and they offer others, in English/115v/but metric and not ETL listed, that allow user multiple outputs and inputs as well as variable speed pumping.
We spec out the Vitosolic 200 on multiple load systems as the price for it is overkill on solar dhw system only. The Tekmar 155 is not bad but is powered by 24v so ideally the relay outputs (although rated for 115v) should probably be run through an isolation relay. It is also a little spendy for a controller that controls only the solar loop circulator.
Just recently started looking at another controller that has 2 and 3 outputs for multi load systems at a much lower price than Vitosolic 200. Will report back after getting a couple in stock and sold.
Solar DHW - more bang for the buck than PV intertie.
Sunny regards,
Eric

Anybody know where to get decent solar controllers? www.resol.de is a german company selling a neat product, i only find stone age ones here. any ideas?0 -
Independant Energy...
... is what I've used for years. They don't like voltage spikes, or mice nibbling on sensor wires, but otherwise perform well ;~)

Are you simply looking for a differential setpoint control? The Tekmar 155 is a solid unit. Viessmann sells their Vitosolic control that looks very similar to the Resol control.

I.E. is no more!
too bad they made a nice inexpensive controls. They were bought by a larger company that decided to shut down the control line.
Try this
website http://www.thermomax.com/Delta T Index.htm
They have a nice selection from basic to nice digital data logger styles. The tekmar is nice also but a fairly small digital display to read.

What Larry said....
Independent Energy changed their name to Goldline Controls back in the late 90's and make a fine solar control. It's been a very reliable controller since the late 70's when solar was in it's hayday. Besides, it's manufactured in the good ol' USA!
