I have several large condo projects inmy area and all were plumbed with polybutylene "gear plastic" does anyone have a fitting they have found that works well to join to copper or a brand of pex?

The "guy at the counter" claims they work with EVERYTHING. I have never used them.

poly 'b' to pex/copper

we use a pex to poly coupling kit that comes with a pex crimp ring & a poly crimp ring, & uses the pex crimp tool for both rings. No problems yet. (3 years) Should be available @ your supplier.

sharkbite fittings

We have been using these fittings for a few months now. They work great. So far I have only used them to join PB to copper. As long as the o.d. of the tubing is the same as copper they should work. Much quicker and you don't have to worry about the nuts cracking on the Qest couplings.

I second Sioux Chief

they make a transition fitting. Or but a pex to copper adapter and a PB to copper adapter and solder them together.

I'm not sure about the Shark attack fittings. Seems PB can be egg shaped ir it was rolled off a coil. It is a much thinner wall than pex. Would that Shark fitting accomodate this? Hate to learn the hard way. I know crimp fittings hold
