Looks nice.

What kind of vfd are you using? Most of them allow v/hz adjustment, if you have an odd-voltage (or 50hz) motor.

    wet side almost all done

It's been a while since I put anything up about my project. I wanted to get something up before going to wetstock.

The system is a T50 w/Vision 1. It has the "tekmar" module and is controlled from a single board computer (SBC) networked to a master computer. I got a webstone P/S fitting with power purge and a Taco 4900 air eliminator, both of which look great and work great. There is one zone hanging off the near boiler piping, but the rest of the zones hang off three remote manifolds. The actuator you see is a variable flow globe valve that is also driven off the SBC.

The sensors are mostly Dallas Semi 1-wire temperature, humidity and air pressure sensors. Have yet to find an ultrasonic flow transducer I can afford.

Per the thread about condensate neutralizers, here's my entry. Actually it's prototype 1 to work things out. It's a drawing tube and I'm not happy with the strength of the bottom fitting. Next one will be clear PVC tube.

The pump on the right is the primary circulator. There's a 15-58 in there now, but I have a Grundfos Alpha+ pump courtesy of Jimmy and Aiden from the UK. My VFD wouldn't drive it phase to phase, so it's waiting for me to build a special purpose single phase 60Hz to 50Hz converter.

Over on the left up high are a pair of orange PAP pipes coming down. Those connect to the Apricus solar collecters on the roof. I will get the hookup to the lower coil of the boiler next week. I can't install the tubes until I have somewhere to use the BTUs.

Questions, comments and criticisms are all welcome. The main photo is 6 pictures stitched together, and the parallax is pretty bad.

    VFDs

    Carl,

That what I thought. I have a 2HP Allan Bradley 1333 series. The problem is that it's a single phase load, and the box doesn't like the load differential between the legs. Sigh.

It's not too hard today to build one of these for a custom application, it's just one more thing to have to deal with. Thank goodness for highly integrated chips and application notes. The reason I can think about doing it is that I have a know load of around 1/25th HP. You don't need much of a heat sink in the < 100 watt range.

    looks real nice

Two different gas supplies? Nice to have that laundry tray so close for clean up :)

The bull head tee to the right of the air purger is about the only thing I would change.

Be careful if you run pex to solar panels. Mine blew up when the pump went bad and the sun was out! It even melted the Armaflex to the pex! Use at least some footage of copper from the panel into the building. Ideally it would all be copper. See you at Wetstock :)

    Our wise city officials

have decided to drage their feet on allowing me to get an inspection on the gas so the meter can be hooked up. In the mean time, the LP allowed the floors to aclimate and such. As soon as they decide I can really ask for the gas inspection before final, I will be able to go back to the fuel of choice.

If we're talking about the thing just to the right of the air purger, that's a webstone primary/secondary fitting with valve for power purge.

Thanks for the heads up on the solar. The PAP is for running through the walls and like. All the outside parts will be copper. With the evacuated tube collectors, the temps can get quite high.

    Aha.

I love the 1333's. I've got one on a lathe in my garage.

Somebody told me once that there's a way to disable the phase-to-phase protection on those. If I find my notes, I'll send 'em to you.
