I would leave it with a coating of Herculies teflon based treatment. This should have been you cleaning and flush treatment.

    just wanted to know, after you flush out your wet returns should they be left full or empty until next season? 1 pipe steam system. Is it better to run the boiler after flushing the returns to drive off any gasses in the water? thanks T.
