And now , back to heating

I hope Ken is ok.

I'd be willing to bet that he shouldered it well. Those tanks are VERY heavy when even half full. A tappy-tappy with a small hammer could have prevented the accident but, he's not the first or last to be supprized when the strap is cut. Myself included.

Get Well Soon Kenny !!!

  • As my new buddy Sweet said .

Me and Kenny replaced this boiler a few days ago .

By the way , Kenny is out for about a month . On another job they were cutting the straps holding a compression tank . They thought it was empty , it wasn't . It fell weird and almost took out Tom's head . Kenny shouldered it to the side before it turned Tom's head into a pancake . He wound up tearing muscle in that shoulder . A shout out to Kenny would be appreciated .

This one was toast . A new account for us . Absolutely no way to get to the chimney .
  • We installed a Burnham

V83 with matching Beckett gun . Pushed it as far to the left to keep clearance to the chimney and circulators . We also repiped the water heater flue to correct some problems .

    well dam

Hope Kenny is ok...that's a hard way to get some time off... As is the norm, you seem to find a way to make something out of nothing!! Keep up the good work. Hope you have good backup for Kenny!! It's going to be hard to fill his shoes!!
  • Kenny told me

the 4 weeks is worst case scenerio . He's a scrapper though . He was back in 2 days after crushing the tops of 2 fingers when a concrete slab fell on them .

    Thanks alot Lchmb .
  • It's time

for Kenny to find a good hobby . I'd go nuts from having a month off straight . Me and Kenny started out working together at age 15 at a toy store . This'll be the first extended break from work for him since then .

Thanks Al for the prayer and kind words .

Get well soon Kenny, dont rush the recovery.

Nice and clean install. what a differance. Was the water heater newer? Future indirect? Waiting for future funds?

  • And the light moved down one pipe . Thank you EJW
  • Michelob

Ultra is his favorite . And he's been seen drinking Jack and Coke on special occasions . Thanks Matt .
  • Ken's a

strong dude too , that tank had to be HEAVY . I've done the same thing also , and not too long ago . Sometimes they're wedged in there so tight you don't know the weight till it's too late .

I'll pass on your get well wishes to Kenny , Gary . Although I'm hoping he comes online to see these postings . Thanks .
  • The water heater

was pretty old . The way the old boiler looked , I can guarantee the people will go for the least expensive option when the heater leaks - an internal coil .

Thanks for posting Ted , Ken will really appreciate it .
