Balancing ?
I have a split loop .Zone #1.. Taco Zone valves, (3).. when zone #2 or #3 call they pull thru the loop on zone #1..Cold to valve, it pulls thru 1 side of loop bypassing zone valve and continues back to boiler.. .#1 is the only split loop..piped correctly..only #1 heat when called for heat....Older system not sure how long it been doing it..Do you think balance valves would help??? Gate vales in system now... Thanks Rich0 -
check it out
balancing or gate valves will not stop ghost flow . if zone valves are shutting tight ,you might need a flow check on the opposite end of each loop. doid it ever work properly ?0 -

THE b.& g. vertical checks might be useful if it is a tight piping configuration. the horizontal pattern sometimes takes up space that is not available ! lol don't forget to include the engineering fee on your invoice.0
