sealed combustion steam boiler?

Thanks to Steamhead, Joe and Glenn. I didn't think I could get closed combustion for steam. Have new stainles liner in old chimney - will just have to put up with loss of heated air. Second concern was getting contaminated air from laundry in the flue gas - last boiler only lasted 17 to 18 years.

    sealed combustion steam boiler?

I am replacing my gas boiler and want to get as good efficiency as possible, but I have steam. Can you get a closed combustion steam boiler in the 60,000 to 80,000 BTU range? Is closed combustion the same as condensing practically speaking?
  • Not the same as condensing

but if you need one designed for sidewall-venting because your chimney's in bad shape, look at the Burnham Series 2-PV.

    I think the Series-2

and 2-PV are both hot water not steam models. I can't think of ever seeing a DV steam boiler, oil or gas.
  • Independence PV

The sidewall vent version in steam is the INPV or Independence PV power vented gas steam boiler. It is not, however, a sealed combustion unit nor diriect vent. It requires combustion air from the room where it is installed. Hope this helps.
