Pressuretrol setting and Picture

Steamhead (in transit)

you could probably turn the Main down to 1.5 and it would still heat well. With proper main venting you can distribute steam on a few ounces pressure.

Pressuretrol setting
Hi,
I recently replaced some main vents on both of my mains, which did wonders in making the two sides of the house heat evenly.
I just read Holohans book "we got steam heat", and in it he describes the pressuretrol settings of 2psi on the main and 1.5psi on the differential. I have the type he describes, however the scale doesn't include 1.5 on the diff.
Does it appear as if I have these set correctly? It seems to be operating fine, I'm just concerned about efficiency, and longevity...
Cheers,
Greg0 -
