multipress multicore

Looking back I should have just used 1 1/4 copper, lesson learned.
I used the hyd.hose machine at work and it worked flawlessly, I will post some pictures of my "project"
it will not compare with the great artist on here but not too bad for a newbie that knows how to solder.

    Multicore and multipress

I am looking for some help on these items
I have a 35 foot run from my boiler to my Primary loop with 1 " multicore Pex-Al-Pex, I have four 1" multipress fittings, four compression fittings that are strictly an outside compression and a 1" pex compression tool for pex crimp rings.
The compression fittings have a less restrictive ID but the AL core will be exposed to the heating water(in the multicore fittings it is not). The 1"crimper I have is of the wrong size,so the multipress fittings will not work with the crimper I have.
    So I have two qustions:
    1. Is there a problem with the compression fittings that expose the edge of the pex-al-pex pipe?
    2. What is the exact dia. of the 1" multipress fitting after the crimp and is there a pic I can view of the fitting after the crimp too show the ridges? if there are any.
3.Does a regular Go,NoGo gauge work for this?
ANY help here would be appreciated I have 4 fittings to do, If I had 10 I would buy safelink fittings or a multipress tool.

Again thanks this board has been the greatest thing since sliced bread for my hobby-project and I can't thank you all enough.
PS. I caught a little of the Constantine battle: I hate to see anybody fight, so I live buy a rule:

\"I hate to see anyone fight\"

    Dear Ross.

I think the lack of response to your post has nothing to do with the technical request, but more to do with the last sentence.

It was a little insensitive, to say the least.

It won't provoke a fight, it'll just be ignored, except by me.

My adorable Uncle Jimmy died in a "sanitorium" after suffering from an "unspecified" mental illness all his life. He was called "a retard".

My brother, Christopher, had four simultaneous operations on his head right after being knocked off his bike by an effed up bus driver when he was 8, and was in a coma for 6 weeks. He's now 38, but still 8. He's been called "a retard" by some insensitive folk, ever since.

He lives in a communal "home" with 7 other guys just like him. He put himself through culinary school, the UK Dep't of hiegene (sp) school & now orders food, cooks, prepares menus', and teaches the other guys to play keyboard & use a computer. "A retard".

    Think, think, think, Ross.

Alcohol came close to putting me in the "retard" category. Thing was, I had the choice of getting out before it won, some people don't have that choice.

My other brother, David, is a Wethead Wallie in the North of England. He doesn't post here, but if he reads this, he won't be as kind as I was.

I hope you get an answer to your crimp question.

    Regards,

Apart from all that, we're fine down here. Did y'all get snow yet? :-)

    Being an ****

My DEEPEST apologies, No excuses for my behavior VERY insensitive, if you knew ME you would know that that was not meant to be offenceive. Just a point to say when something, an act,(not a handicap) that is done is REALLY Stupid it is "retarted" Like the movie Forest Gump:it was offensive to some in some parts but the USA as a hole thought it was funny, not offensive. How does that work?
It was pool night a few too many cocktails, should have been more sensitive( not said it at all) I too have mentally impaired relatives and would never say anything too offend them and have been the one to stick up for them when no one else has.
Never happen again, I am a better person than that but I get to make only one first impression.(So much for that)
I have the 1" multicore now and the compression fittings will not work. I am going to try the hydraulic hose fitting press at work with the multipress fittings.
I download this whole board at least twice a week and read it on my palm, it has been a great help in learning of this great world of hydronics, I hope to have something to offer back in the near future as my project is just about done and I couldn't have done it without this great board.
No snow yet, had the sander out last Sunday but not hardly enough to salt. I work for the county road commission. this hydronics is just a hobby.
    ALL MY DEEPEST APREICEATION ,

    You're a gentleman, Ross.

No offence taken, at least now that you know where I'm coming from.

Your 2nd impression more than made up for the 1st one.

I remember watching a Special Olympics on TV. During a foot race, a competitor fell down just short of the finish line. The leaders stopped, turned around and went back to help him up......winning wasn't that important to them. Boy, can we take some lessons from that.

    You're ok Ross, no problem.

FWIW, I prefer mechanical comp' fittings to crimp anyway. At least you can re-tighten them.

Sorry to get on your case, but some words just jump off the screen at me. You know what I mean.

    Cheers, Brian W.

    Thanks anyway

Thank you but I am about 800 miles or so away.
I am going to give the hydraulic hose machine a try at work. It is pretty adjustable. The compression fittings will not even go over the Multicore. It would be great to have a precice measurement of the tool closed or a go, no go measurement of the finished crimped fitting. I will not be able to get to this next year, the walls will be finished and I will have to cut a hole in the wall to get through to take the piping out if there are any problems.
