proposal to replace steam boiler in church

Dear "Steamers", I am a trustee for the Amagansett Presbyterian church on LI. We lost our steam boiler about a week ago due to a crack in one of the sections probably due to a malfunctioning auto-feed. The boiler is about 15 years old and not worth repairing. We would like some estimates to replace the boiler. If anyone is interested in coming out this far for the job I'll send you the requirements or better yet come on out to "God's country" and have a look see. I see some of you have been to East Hampton doing work and enjoying the views of Three mile harbor. Thanks,Live/Learn

    Not in your area..

but a fellow Presbyterian. You may want to take a good look at Slantfin's Modular steam boilers, especially if you have a multizone steam system. I specialize in churches and a large single boiler heating plant is notoriously inefficient, no matter how efficient it may fire, because of the extremely low boiler loading during the week in most facilities. Standby losses are HUGE! I've done many modular hot water boilers in churches and the fuel savings have run from 40 to 75 % over large single boilers that were firing in the low to mid 80s on natural gas. I would expect the savings due to modular steamer to be simliar, all things taken into account.
