to me, they are the kind of boiler that the homeowner wants ,efficent backed with you installed it you married it type philosophy..however for the money and operational/maintinance costs ..oops sorry. be really careful cleaning the thing and dont do anything snappy around the flimsy board on the front of it,nor any of the wires bailing out the sides of the board...on the good side of the equasion is a handy puff switch and test ports...

Weird Heat Exchanger
First off, I'd like to thank all of you who gave me advice on being uncomfortable with the way my company was cutting corners. I took your advice and found a new job with a company that thinks along the same lines as myself.
Second, I saw the weirdest heat exchanger today. In the past two months I've done my fair share of clean-outs. This particular boiler (don't remember the name) was small, about two and a half feet cubed. The heat exchanger was in a spiral pattern, kind of like a jelly roll with a space between the layers. Do any of you know what this kind of heat exchanger is called and how it works? Oh, it also had a power vent. Does this help in aiding the flue gases to travel around the heat exchanger? Just wondering.0 -
sounds like
That sounds like a system 2000. Take a look at their home page
www.energykinetics.com
You may also want to read their literature on the proper way to tune that boiler. It's not the same as a standard boiler...0 -
Thanks
Thanks guys. I read the website, it sounds like a great boiler. Do either of you know where I can get information on these, other than the sales pamphlets?0
