oil burner interfering with TV

Transformer or Ignitor?

You could be on the right track check to make sure you have proper grounding and make 100% sure the ignitor has a good ground to the burner housing

    Before condemning the transformer,

Please let us know what the other controls on the system are. I've seen my share of contacts in "block type" controls cause this kind of interferance too.(just as they are about to make contact, there it is.Alan hit on the key point....GROUNDING. It has to be done properly on everything. Chris

    one more

The list is pretty complete, check mechanical ground, not stressed enough, check grounding screw on electronic ignitor ususally an issue if a new ignitor is installed on an old plate, make sure good contact to buss bars, as Chris pointed out, aquastat block in MH controls can give you a problem, usually seen prior to burner starting and finally, if electronic ignitor, make sure power and neutral wires are connected correctly.
