Tube Failures

lots of oxygen laden fresh water has been eating on those puppies. Is your chemical guy testing at least monthly?

Good chem guys test, adjust chems as needed, & tell you (in writing) when something is out of kilter. I would check the records.

    Tube Failures

I have recently had 26 boilers installed in my complex approximately 3-4 years ago. They were not boiled out or chemically treated for 1 year. The tubes are now beginning to fail. My chemical supplier claims it's due to a lack of chemical treatment for that year. My plumber and my state boiler inspector claim it's caused by poor tubes that were manufactured in Korea or China.
Has anyone out there experienced this problem? Can anyone give me some insight?
    Thank you.

    You...

...really need to see the tubes, to have any idea what happened. Could be oxygen corrosion, condensing flue gas, material/manufacturing defect, etc.
  • Steam or water?

Do you also heat domestic water w/ the boilers? If so, how?
