    4\" tappings

Have any of you guy's had problems with water tight connections at the boiler?

We have been chasing our tail lately with this.

The larger 4" and 6" supply tappings seem to be giving us fits. This is on intial fill up and hydrostatic tests with out any heat being applied.

We intalled a couple of H.B. Smith 28-7's that wouldn't cooperate. Finally we used a permatex sealer made for the automotive industry. That stopped it, but I doubt it will ever come apart.

It doesn't seem to be unique to Smith. We had the same problem with Burnham and Weil.
