Something other then Slantfin that you reccomend. Looking for something that is quiet, maybe looks good after the years pass, is nice to install.0 -
I only use...
Sterling kompac and Sterling Senior. I think it in the best looking fintube board out there....another option to use would be Haydon...kpc

I like,
The Haydon too. The front covers are a bit more sturdy than most, and seem to stand up to kids a little better. Chris0 -
slant fin 80
Instead of slant fin 15 or 30 how about # 80 it's not much taller but is a little higher output and alot sturder then the 15 or 30 .I perfer the 80 to the others alot tougher and holds up over time otherwise there isn,t much of a difference to me .It's all about proper install peace clammyR.A. I use haydon for pretty much all installs. The covers and caps are much sturdier but the fins are real thin and like to bend easily. They are a little shorter and fatter than some of the others.0 -
i just bought Sterling Suntemp and will be installing them this weekend. i like the way they look.
thanks

Slant-fin because it is readily available and works great.
My local guy has Hayden, but I'm hesitant.
When I worked for my Dad, we only used Argo. THAT was nice stuff. Can't get it around here.0 -
sterling suntemp looks good.
ARGO works very well an seems to hold up well (860)828-6513 Berlin Conn i bet they'll sell you some direct the controls are very good as well

Most suppliers around here stock Slantfin which are OK but I was looking for something maybe a little bit more heavy duty and possibly a touch more quiet.
Thanks for the replies.

I've used
Sterling's Petite-7. Very quiet and the extra curve in the front plate makes it a bit more rigid.0 -
just finshed installing my suntemp 700a today in my house and love them0 -
Differences
There are differences between brands. If you are back looping Slant Fin has a built in place to set the tube as opposed to Petite using flimsey (my opinion) hooks. Sun Temp seems the strongest. In my area Petite and Slant Fin seem the most common.
