    Displaced workers after Katrina

Many people will be migrating to areas outside of the Gulf Coast but not necessarily because their homes are gone. They simply have no means of supporting their families. Consider an HVAC service tech in New Orleans. What equipment will he have to service in the next 3-4 months? And will his employer rebuild the business, relying on replacement work that doesn't match the skill level of his employees?

I think we will see a huge shift in workers from the Gulf Coast seeking jobs in YOUR communities. A good thing? Sure. There are a lot of good, qualified techs looking for jobs to advance their careers but mostly to start a new life and support their families. Maybe some can hear about The Wall from others and learn about job opportunities. Anyone willing to post job openings here?

    Exactly

Everyone (and I mean that) should read Rising Tide right now. History is repeating itself, but few remember the first massive flood, even though it changed forever the political and ethnic make-up of America. Important reading, especially now.
    Retired and loving it.
