Thanks for reply, Nron. I am not a tradesman, just an engineer (tool & die design), and I have a little more then a year of experience – that is when I started renovating my house. Unfortunately I got involved with the wrong guy, and it looks like I am going to have to fix it myself. I was promised some help though.

Right now I do not have the secondary loop pump or the circulator on the radiant floor. The bypass works only for the chiller and the tank works for both the chiller and the boiler just like you suggested.

I have a problem with this layout. Pressure drops to .5 bar in a couple of days, when the boiler is on. I do not have an auto fider because I will add antifreeze into the system. The thermostat which controls valve #6 and the circulator are located in the basement, so I think I can live with this. I decided to redesign the system after reading about similar problems somebody described in a post on the Wall, as well as Dan’s PUMPING AWAY. The reason I want to repipe the storage tank is that I think there is too much water in the system for a 2 gal. BAXI expantion tank. I saw water dripping from pressure relief valve on a couple of occasions. The storage tank was installed because MULTIAQUA requires no less then 25 gal. of water so that the compressor does not cycle too often. I insisted the storage tank be installed, so it works for heating and cooling, and now I have second sots. DHW is a secondary. I probably will add a storage tank for it in the future.

Just trying to improve my system. Will it work?
Did I made any major mistakes? I am open to suggestions! Let me know if you need more info? Any input would greatly help. Thanks, Greg.

just wondering how much expereince you have ?

if your going to add the storage tank why not use it as storage for heating and cooling , the radiant portion should be taken off from adifferent point or you will only get heat when the laundy room heats , and dont forget the domestic load or are you useing only the on demand portion of the system on the baxi if so check to make sure you can supply enough hot water , rember its only 100mbh output or about 2gal min max at about 60 F temp rise and less if the water coming in is colder , the baxi is a nice unit Ihave used a few in the last few years

    pressure drop

you may need to add a second expantion tank to the system as the Baxi unit is more than likely to small and if after you have added the extra tank the pressure continues to drop you must have a leak some where find it before you add glychol to your system , Im located in Calgary Alberta Canada
