Most of the radiant and plumbing
folk here know the Kitec/ Ipex name. Also, most know Ted Lowe, of Kitec fame, either by the work he has done in our industry or by his big, infectious laugh. This laugh can be heard above all others in a room. Or outside of a room for that matter
Ted has taken ill, and fighting a tough battle. The RPA has started the Ted Lowe fund to help where needed. I have offered to run a silent auction at the RPA RadFest East this October 12 in Chantilly, Virgina (near Washington D.C.) We will have roundtables in the morning, Siggy and The Bean as featured speakers, then a trade show from noon to 7:00 pm. The silent auction will run along with the trade show.
Dan Foley and the Virginia chapter, along with the RPA staff have been working very hard to make this a great, well attended event.
I'm asking for any and all donations for auction items, to really boost this fund for Ted and his family. Please help.
Contact me at hotrodradiant@aol.com or 417-753-3998.
Thanks all, and thanks to Dan for allowing this request here

A thought struck me...
Yeah, I know what you're thinking about me having a thought!(G)
The new RPA point system for accumulating and garnering goodies from the catalog, which has some mighty fine things. I've got 35-points to date and everyone gets 10 points just for being a member. What if there was an ability to donate your points into a collective point account??? Might help get some mighty nice things for the auction!
I'm more than willing to toss in my 35.

Hot Rod...
...First of all, I am looking at what I can help with at the moment, but can assure you that WE are in and will definitely help out. Ted, I've met a few times already and always enjoyed his company and friendship.
I am sorry, but do not know what Ted has fallen ill for. No matter what though, he will be in my thoughts and prayers and all of us wish him a speedy and succesful recovery.
Will get in touch with you, HR.

RPA ponts
I wish that all of my "RPA points" could to go to benifit Ted & his family. Kitec is a good company and is/will be taking care of all of the hospitalization & medication needs. No doubt there are other costs associated with going through extensive chemotherapy treatment in Boston when you live on Marthas Vineyard.
Hopefully the Lowe fund will help support a short term lease of an appartment close to the Dana Farber Institute that will accomodate him and perhaps another through this TOUGH time.
Running long
Thanks Bob for bring this to The Wall. I've tried to rally support on the RPA's site but not one response.
A prayer for Ted once again tonight.
