crossing tubing in radiant job

in that area? Be nice to have at least 2" over the top of the upper tube.

Sometimes you can cut the mesh or foam and scratch some gravel from below that area to pick up an inch or so of depth. The actual tube contact at the crossing should not be a problem embeded in concrete.

    crossing tubing in radiant job

I just finished laying out the tubing(1/2" pex, 1200 ft.) in a garage and I have an area at the rear where the tubing needs to cross over some of the loops to get back to the manifold. Any problem with this?

    Thickness

Of the concrete will be the big determining factor.

I'd prefer not to cross over, only for that reason.

    Any possibility

of going under the mesh and back to the manifold? Then rise up with a bend support like you normally would.

    response to cross-over tubing

The tubing is mounted on rail which is stapled into 2" foam. (Rehau system) The slab is 6". I easily have at leadt 3" even where it crosses over.

  • no problem there at all.
