The damper lying on the floor is actually working. And that rust spot on the side of the boiler was caused by a leak rfrom the casting out.

This poor HO was wheelchair bound and had a large regional fuel company regularly servicing this boiler.

My old boiler isn't really that scary looking.. but it does need to be replaced. Though the paint is still nice, it's 83 years old, oversized, and inefficient.. not sure if that is what you're looking for.
