Expectations

How much support is expected from boiler Manufacturers?

boiler supply heat, as long as heat is provided at the supply, the boiler has done its job.

What about problems with the system? Should the boiler Manufacturer be responsible for not enough heat at a baseboard?

Who provides more support than the outlet of the supply?

If you cannot figure out how many BTU it takes to heat X amount of BB or radiant...your problem...the boiler says right on it what it is capable of. That's the job of a professional.

  • If all you're looking for is heat...

WHy not just grab a 55 gallon drum, set it in the middle of the living room, load it up with some wood, and let 'er RIP.

    YOU GOT HEAT!!!

Now, if you're looking for SAFE, RELIABLE, EFFICIENT COMFORT, it's going to cost you more...

Your money, your call. I may not need your money, nor the responsibility. And quite honestly (Don't you HATE IT when you hear that from a salesman...What, ya been lieing to me up to this point? Had an epiphany?), not everyone can afford the "comfort" I offer.

    Heat, or comfort. Your call.

PS, if you decide to go the 55 gallon drum way, BE CAREFUL.
I've seen and used my share of them...

You can laugh but I was once on a no heat call as a young boot and when I went into the basement I discovered there was no heat all right because the boiler was gone. The tenents were new but as I found out later the owner was being foreclosed on and recently installed a new one but in light of his plight thought why not take it with him.

I had a freeze up call once and discovered they too had no boiler nor did they ever have one. The two ladies who lived there were twins and had lived in this house for 80 + years with no heat OR electricity.

    Robert

Did you ever get in touch with my brother about the jerky? He just came up with a new flavor and it is DA BOMB! If you talk with him tell him Steve told you to ask for Honey Glazed Pepper Turkey. Killer stuff!! The glaze is smooth and sweet and the coarse ground pepper gives it a nice kick after you've chewed for a while.

    OK

But you didn't call me at freakin' 11:30 at night like Robert did. My wife wanted to know who the nutcase was calling that time of night and asking about jerky. She understood completely when I told her it was just one of my bud's from the Wall.
