So,how does one shrink the radiant symbols,

add the spirovents recircs return thermal traps and the #1 question say i happen to like Buderus indirects or viessmann floor indirects,or the boilers pipe out the back...er taco pump block,is there a way to import pinner pictures to add into the draft?or does one make another set of sencils that add on to the available lists ? man i hate to ask ..its probably easy as can be...

    Steve,

The symbol for the pressure reducing valves is in the VALVES palette, left column, 5th symbol down. Hold the mouse pointer over the icon for any component and the name of the component appears.

    Weezbo,

You can use the drawing tools palette (rectangles, circles, lines, etc) to create "cusotm" components for different types of devices. What you can't do, at least for now, is add these custom components to the palette.

My suggestion is to make a "starter" drawing file that contains any custom components you create. Then, when you want to use them for a drawing just open this starter file and add or remove items from it to make the drawing. fianlly, do a save as to save the modified file without changing the starter drawing file.

We do anticipate creating additional symbols palettes in the future, but probably will never have a symbol for everything that comes along.

    Thanks Siggy

I know I'm overlooking this too but where/how do you add text to the drawing? Never mind, found the big T but all the text appears in blue letters set in purple blocks. Haven't deciphered the key to getting rid of the blocks.

    Thank you...*~/:)

after drawing a two boiler radiant system with all kinds of valves and flipping things about i thought 'hey! whats this under help?...Now, i am not saying that it would have been as much fun having read the directions Buh....:))) my parents always hid the box the puzzel came in or the can the tinker toy logs came in just so i wouldnt have too much fun too quick :) The undefined pallet seems like an excellent way to add goodies that may become available.... now ,i can get the boiler drains to turn around and down so they look like they will drain, pays to read the directions:) id a figured it out though on the !49th(N)! permutation :) this really is a sharp tool...It even works in the Frozen North *~/:)

    text in hydronicad

    Steve,

In the Drawing Tools palette set you line color to black, then go down to fill color at the bottom right and set foreground to black and background to white. This should give you black text on a white background. Text will appear at the current setting of the line color so you can have many different colors of text on the same drawing if you want.

    OK

How do I go back and "erase" the text already in place? Also, how does one go back into a saved drawing and edit particular pieces of it?

    editing in HydroniCAD

    Steve,

Just delete the existing text and create new text using the text tool. Note that you can change fonts, text color, size, and more using the text properties button in the drawing tools palette.

To edit an existing drawing just open the file, click on a component to select it, then delete, move, duplicate, or drag away to modify the drawing.
