TEKMAR 256

Just finished an install on CGI 4 ,great boiler ,brings system up to temp quickly. This is where the problem started, the boiler was cycling constantly .After much head scratching I solved the problem by setting the anticipator to match the amp of the TEKMAR 003 relay not the amps of the gas valve. Is this a common mistake , it is always a simple solution to seemingly hard problems.

Just a thought...
The relay in the heating circuit on the Tekmar should draw less than the GV, but It still has to be set,.period. In my opinion, there is no anticipation on a hot water system unless you have a fan coil type of operation. Also check the differential on the boiler itself. I usually set for 15 to 20* depending on the application. Once your pump stops, that's it no effective heating, just a small residual which will quickly cool inside the baseboards, thus no anticipation. Don't get me wrong it still has to be set to make the system run, but max it out to 1.1 or 1.2 amps. /.3 amps or there about will short cycle almost anything.0
