Steam Radiator

I have a customer with burnham baseboard radiators. These radiators are about 7-9 inches high with two sets of 3/4 inch taps at both ends. It is connected to a two pipe steam system. One end of the radiator has plugs in both taps, the other end has a radiator valve on the top tap and a steam trap on the bottom. Most radiators I see have a valve at one end and a trap at the other. My question is can the radiator operate properly this way?

I question this........
....this sounds like Burnham "BaseRay". If so, there is no internal baffle to cause the steam to flow to the opposite end of the casting before exiting the baseboard. I suspect this may cause the steam to short cycle between the two tappings on the same side and reduce the output of the board.0 -
If this were hot-water
I'd agree with you. But steam should stay towards the top of the Baseray and work its way down to the level of the trap.
