Isolating Vibration

I commissioned my new Peerless Pinnacle 140 this weekend. Start-up went smooth as silk, no problems at all. The only annoyance is transmitted vibration. I hung the gas line to the floor joists with split pipe hangers, and hard piped right to the gas inlet of the boiler. Now every time the boiler performs a pre/post purge, the blower vibration is transmitted to the living room floor. Sounds like a 747 taking off. If I'm standing at the boiler when this happens, I don't even notice the blower running, so I don't condemn the blower for being too noisy. I'm thinking of isolating the gas line with a gas flex pipe at the boiler to try and stop the noise transmission through the gas pipe & floor joists. Any comments or suggestions??

    I suppose...

... a SST or whatever they're called might work as far decoupling the hard pipe from the rest of the house. I've seen several installs here where pro's did just that, hard pipe to SST to hard pipe, perhaps for the same reasons.

Another approach may be to dampen the vibration with the judicious use of Müpro or similar clamps.

Thanks for validating my (possible) solution. In my opinion, the boiler design is weak because of the plastic enclosure. There's no support provided for the gas connection, & the boiler body just kinda floats inside the plastic enclosure. I didn't want to put any stress onto the die cast gas valve fitting (via weight of gas pipe & drop). This is why I securely fastened it to the floor joists. I'll put in the flex pipe (SST) tonight and let you know if it proves effective.

I seem to remember that the instructions specifically say NOT to use courrogated pipe of any kind.
