radiant in concrete

If i put radiant wirsbo heatpex in a concrete slab and all the right insulation below it and on the sides,If there was a power failure and the house froze up would the pex pipe split even thought it is rated not to?Would it expand the concrete and split the concrete and not the pipe? Thanks for any info

It's possible
Generally a warmed slab can coast a few days before getting to freezing point. Just depends on the building insulation and the outdoor temperature
Keep in mind the plumbing pipes would probably freeze long before the radiant tubes in a concrete slab.
With higher pressures, burst water lines make a big mess in a short period of time
Radiant systems can have a non toxic hydronic antifreeze added for piece of mind. Pump size and expansion tank capacity may need to be adjusted with antifreeze systems.
