    Buderus G124x 11 help!

I'm installing a Buderus tomorrow mourning, and need some help with the wiring. I spoke with Buderus tech support earlier about wiring, but I'm still confused about zoning. This system has for zones, I'm confused about wiring with the Logamatic R 2107. Tech support mentioned I needed a isolation relay for the circulator. Could someone please tell me what field wiring I'll have to do between the Logomatic, the 8148E and the isolation relay(name of relay?) Thanks for any held or references

The system currently has 4 /3 wire taco zone zalves. I'm trying to figure what control or zone relay I'll need to add to energize circulator and for zone control. I'm not familiar in the least with Buderus and their logomatic control. I'm trying to read and learn as much as I can tonite, before I crash and burn tomorrow. The Logomatic is the R 2107

    OK

May I suggest a Taco ZVC-4? It will control your zone valves and has an end switch to control a circulator.

If you can do that, we can solve your wiring situation right here and now.

    How's that?

Mark' I'm Looking at the wiring diagram right now. I don't know ho familiar you are with this system. On the wiring diagram there are three conrol wiring terminals (heat pump, domestic tank pump, domestic recirc pump. The new install will not be using any domestic on the boiler, but the customer would like have this option in the future with an indirect. I guess my only question left is, on the zone relay you mentioned would I connect anything on the heat pump terminal, were should I run Power from going to the zone relay board and do I have to wire anything into the L8148 Control on the boiler? O.k. I lied that's three Questions. Thanks for the info.

Looking at the wiring diagram for the HS2107, you will feed power to the ZVC from "heat pump" terminals #61 and 63. This is a constant hot until there is a call for domestic water. In your case that is not happening yet.

So send power to your zone valve control panel from those terminals.

The only thing you may have an issue with is if you are using power stealing thermostats. When the "heat pump" circuit gets interupted during a domestic water call (future) the t-stats would go blank. So your control wiring for the zone valves is a snap!! We're done!!

Now, the HS2107 will control the burner so your L8148 is no longer necessary! There are sensors that come with the HS2107 that replace the L8148. Give it back to your supplier and ask for a credit! We're done!

    How easy was that?!?!?!

Ask away if you're still uneasy.

    Jeff, if it helps...

here is a link to the Applications manual for the 2107 control. Starting on page 20 of the book are some wiring diagrams for your zone valves, and there are more diagrams for using a zone control panel.

Funny how the name got that way eh???

Now you know how to wire your HS2107 but more importantly....

you know where to go when you have a question.

If you can, take a few pictures of your install tomorrow.
