Radiator EDR Issues...

BUT... I've been trying to calculate the total EDR for my steam system. I only have 8 radiators, they are all the new tube type, all but 2 are 4 tube and 22 inches high. However, when I tried to use the Burnham Heating Helper to size them, it lists a 4 tube radiator as 7in wide? And they have a 20 inch high and 23 inch high, but not 22 inch high. Do you just create a ratio between the extra 1 1 inch and subtract from the 23 inch radiation? More perplexing is that fact that is lists it as 7 inches wide, mine is 4.5 inches wide?!

I realize there are a gazillion radiators out there and Burnham can't possibly list them all, so I'm just wondering if you guys just create simple ratios to calculate the radiation of radiators that don't fit the "mold." Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I know Dan has a book listing all the EDR's for radiators, but there must be a "simple" way to calculate this without buying another book. :)

cheers
John
