monoflo tees removed

Your mian pipes go to the other end of the basement?? find the tees farthest from the boiler on the main pipes.....That is the longest run (I hope).......add this up(40 foot main pipes and ten feet bb =50 feet=head). It is the longest trip the water has to take that matters....If it can heat the longest run then it can heat the rest of the bb...

I removed the 7 pairs of capped monflo tees from my system.

I still have some piping to finish tomorrrow before I can fire up my boiler and check for leaks. Does anyone know how to calculate and select the proper size circulator for this monoflo system?

I checked out the article. I am not sure if I calculate just the

length of the main run or do I add the cast iron baseboard lengths as well. Also, my main supply pipe runs 18 feet to a tee where it goes in two seperate directions and returns to the boiler. Some of the baseboards are fed from the right side of the split and return on the left side of the split. How do they figure in the calculation?

    you need too size

for the longest loop. Your split loop system has a longer side. The circ has to overcome that load and if it can it is sized to handle anything smaller.(or the smaller side will work)

The right side is the longer side. Do I have to add the

lengths of baseboard to the length of the right side main loop? If the baseboard is counted into the figure, how do I count a baseboard that is supplied on the right loop and returns on the left loop?
