which statement is true? A one pipe steam system 1. Does steam and condensate travel on the same direction or 2 Does steam and condensate travel in different directions.It seems both these statements could be true but they are looking for one answer.Thought this would be a good place to discuss this.Thanks for any input.

You're correct...
they CAN and DO travel in both directions depending upon the system design. It is obvious to me that the answer they want to see is oposite directions. How else would the condensate get back to the boiler in a "one pipe" system...
