One Baseboard Stayed Hot for Hours

The heat left in the boiler is gravity circulating to the too hot rad. You could start out with a mechanical flow check on the boiler outlet, or if cheaper and easier for the heating guy a thermostatic rad valve on the offending rad, or for the really stubborn ones a full port zone valve that closes when the boiler burner stops.

One Baseboard Stayed Hot for Hours

I have a monoflow/diverter tee heating system with an oil burner. One of the baseboards closest to the burner remained hot for hours even when the circulator stopped and the other baseboards were cool.

When the heat initially went on, all of the baseboards got hot. I bled the "hot" radiator and connected a hose just upstream of the circulator to remove some of the air and it finally cooled. Does anyone have any recommendations?
