The oil burner should have a seperate 20 namp service, if nor call a electrician, he also can install filters to help with the humming.God Bless.

Everytime the oil burner kicks on the television gets kind of fuzzy it is a beckett AFG burner any suggestions?0 -

TVI from oil burner
The most likely cause of tvi from your burner, is that the burner circuit is on the same leg of your electrical service as the receptacle your tv is plugged into, and the solid state ignitor is causing the problem.
Similar in nature as the humming that can occure in radio reception and amplifiers from flourescent lighting ballasts0 -
Try Radioshack
They may have a filter you can place between the wall plug and the TV.0
