Buderus job B.N.

The beam over the boiler was rotten [see the lally columns] it had to be replaced , the carpenters were on vacation and/or honeymoon and held the job up for two months. 400 gallon Roth tank. I did not do duct work. The solar home had an 18" chase all the way to the attic so it was easy to run linesets and piping to air handlers. 60' chase to garage. I was supposed to do radiant in the solarium but the budget got eaten up by all the unforseen rotten wood. All of the solar glazing had to be replaced.

Stacked
First time for stacking a buderus, first time for Grundfos 3 spd. check valve pumps. 1980's solar home, 6,000 sq ft. 8 car garage. I did not do the duct work.
The stick under the return header is temporary, I ran out of 3/8" rod, 10'6" ceilings!
The little hatchway door goes out below grade to an area well, the drain pipe was plugged. When we had the monsoon rains in Oct. the mechanical room got flooded. New pipe and new pc. of wood under door should help that from happening again

the old warm air system was inadequate, one central return for 3 floors was at the bottom of open staircase. Would not cool upper floor. All piping will be insulated and the fan in a can is waiting for hole to be bored through concrete. Have to core bore for oil fill and linesets also.

lost
I lost 4 pictures, poor computer skills. The oil line is saw cut into the floor and will be cemented over, the unattached wire is for the fan in a can. Found 'em, I hope.

Nice work Bill, my back is starting to hurt looking at that big 215 on top of that lt tank! How do you like those 'ez' headers? do they save you enough in labor to offset the price?0 -

smashed
If you noticed the front cover for the LT300 is missing, it was pierced by a forklift. It has been almost six weeks and no replacement. They got the wrong one, twice , side panel instead of end.

how long?
I probably had about 5 days and my partner Mark had about one ten hour day and an 8 hr day. He did all of the wiring and low voltage. We ran 120' of 1" to the garage and about 90' to the 2nd floor air handler. Also had to fish t-stat wires in existing walls.
Hard to say for sure though as we are doing a lot of plumbing repair and fighting for space with carpenters, tin knockers, electricians, tapers, and painters.

Forkin' fork lift drivers!!!!!!!
I got a couple Viessmann Vitocell 300's like that and at least one Buderus LT as well.
You do fine work Mr.Nye.
It's an honor to to work in the same industry as you. (I've told you that before)
You bring a uniqueness that can never be replaced. Our industry would be much less without your skills. And that comes from my heart.
