Will a water softener discharge "mess up" a thermoplastic sump pump?

    I doubt it

    since the last discharge is a rinse and that should leave the residue pretty well gone. Of Course the word plastic has a scary note to it. It might be that the brine rinse would or could wipe it out. Do you have the pump specs? if so check-em!
