Thanks for your repsonses.
I have a conbraco brand steam relief valve on it now and it looks old. How do I know it's operating properly? Also, there is no drip line at all. Is that needed on a steam system?
The valve I have looks like the 13-200.

T&P Relief Valve
I have one pipe steam with an old steel Weil Mclean boiler. Do I need a T&P Relief valve? If so, is there one specifically designed for steam boilers?0 -
It...
... should have (as in really REALLY needs to have) a properly sized safety valve set to lift at 15 PSIG steam pressure. If it's missing, call WM, and see if they can look back in their records for the correct capacity. And it has to be a steam safety. T&P's are for domestic hot water tanks.0 -

We don't want to confuse him. A T&P valve is temperature and preasure relief, which is for a hot water heater.
He needs a relif valve for steam that is rated for the size of the boiler. If he's not familiar with this he needs to get a proffesional. This can be a Real Safety issiue. Not something to fool around with by guessing.
