Member Posts: 4,832
I didn't write it down but i've seen a million of them; it's about 40 gallons with no digital readout agt the bottom; just the black pointy knob.
I saw the wiring diagram on their web site; i'll see if this jives with what we have. Thanks,
gary

how to wire it to a tekmar
I have this job where we need to smarten it up some; install some rads, etc.
I'm not really familiar with the Amtrol. Is the sensor a capilary that makes and breaks one of those 5 wires coming out of it? I can't believe how many wires are involved in this thing.
I suppose i could fiddle faddle with my Fluke, but there's nothing like psoting a question to the world's smartest heat dudes. Thanks, Gary

Gary,
Which model of control do you have on your amtrol
indirect? Also which Tekmar are you using. Typically with
the smart control, you will want to cap off the purple and
orange leads, hook the black and white to power and run the
blue back to the contact points. I hope that helps...0 -

depends
Assuming your talking about a tekmar 260 you need to introduce 24 - 250 vac across the terminals 3&4.
If its the 261,same voltage across 3&4.
If its the Tn4 420,or 422 dry contact closure on 53&54
What control are you thinking of from Tekmar0 -
not the Tn4
Just the basic outdoor reset/DHW model, 260
I'm trying to understand the diff between the two...is the TN4 reading a thermistor?
