My steam boiler made it through the winter ( Barely ) and I know it certainly won't make it through another, I have been doing some research and I am looking at the Burnham Megasteam. I know it hasn't been around that long and I was wondering if anyone in this forum has experience or input on them.

Thanks in advance

Darren

    Mega-Steam

I have had the pleasure of installing this boiler and I do mean it was a pleasure.

Easily THE MOST THOUGHT OUT oil fired steam boiler available IMO.

Full disclosure, I was concerned about the burner choices as I am a Riello guy at heart, but the Beckett AFG is really tuned to this boiler. Dialed in, it is as smooth as silk.

The MS boiler has MASS and LOTS of it. Keep this in mind when looking at a replacement. The boiler is not light and getting it in to a basement may be a task.

Would I sell another?? ABSOLUTELY! Burnham has brought steam into the 21st century with this boiler. Make no mistake, the Mega-Steam IS a BOILER.

Burnham made the install as easy as it could be. Piping diagrams that are very concise and the wiring is a snap.(Literally)

    An AWESOME piece of equipment!

    Good Input

Thanks for the input Mark, I talked to a couple of local contractors and they both had good things to say the boilers and the support.
