    As you may know

They are about "quality" not commercializm >>I'll wish more bands would put more effort into thier music instead of profit margins and maybee they could have a following that would allow them to put out 30 albums>>> btw R30 too

Rush has a new CD out now...

It came out last Tue, and it's called "Snakes and Arrows", pretty good stuff on there IMHO, and they're touring starting in June. I've got 2 tickets to see them locally, lucky me!

One of the greatest "Power Trios" ever - but that voice keeps me from buying their albums. Has Geddy and Neal ever been involved with other musicians on a side project, where a different singer and guitarist is performing - that would be of interest?
Can't say I've ever heard a Canadian group that wasn't good - Neil Young, Guess Who, BTO...
Wasn't "The Band" from Canada, before they backed Dylan?

    I have always found

that rushing a fan can lead to problems. For example, a rooftop unit where the prevailing winds rush the fan and cause it to rotate backards during the off cycle. On a call for cooling the fan attempts to start while turning in the wrong direction and shuts off on internal overload. The compressor then locks out on high head. The fan motor cools off and it resets. When you get there you find the unit locked out on high head but you can't find anything wrong. Rush fans are a bumber. bob

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Originally from Arkansas

and known as the Hawks, backing Ronnie Hawkins. They relocated to Canada and when the Arkansas boys left, Levon Helm (drummer) recruited the Canadians one by one. Somehow Dylan heard them play and signed them up, simply calling them "the band". When they started making their own records they kept the name.

    well

you probaly know Alex Lifeson got busted last year for putting the hurt on some guy hassling his son at a concert..

One of my 4 year old son's favorite DVD's is Neil Peart's drum sessions he did in the mid 90's. He sets up the pillows and I have to hold up a couple of pot lids. My fingers really pay for missed crashes :) At the end of the DVD Carter Beauford from Dave Matthews does a guest spot that Bobby likes too. I have probably have heard "Time Stand Still" a thousand times!

Would love to see them live. Never have.

Never saw them but certainly spent a lot of wasted time listening in a small room full of speakers...

Believe-it-or-not, but Tool will be in Cape Girardeau in June. Really not far removed from Rush and by far the most contemporary rock band (if you don't could Trans-Siberian Orchestra where I've had nearly front-row center for 3 years running) we've ever had in Cape Girardeau.

    Matt,

They are going on a summer tour. I know they are playing the local mass venue in late June. Keep an eye out for a show at the Nassau Collesium....where I saw them last...in 1984. Chris

    Stage Fright...

History says that the crowd booed Dylan for going electric, but I think it involved something The Band did instead - and Levon did indeed leave...

    Didn't know that Bob...

Alex is a big boy....glad he honored his son like that...hope he didn't get in too bad a trouble. Neal has suffred some great losses...wife &^ Daughter! I think Geddy's voice is excellent and very unique. I guess that is why I love Glenn Hughes' voice as well - very different...they don't worry about it they just go foir it. Alex is an excellent guitarist and doen't hog the stage. I have seen them twice...hope to again. Mad Dog

    Rush

Rush is coming to Saratoga Performing Arts ( Upstate New York ) in June. It should be a great concert. They were our #1 favorite group in high school. So many great tunes!
