From a simple concept out of your fertile brain, a handful of sous chefs and viola!
Abundant rich content... and if such were possible, increased respect and admiration for Geoff McDonnell...
I will be spending some time there and will contribute what I may. Not sure there are a whole lot of holes to fill at this point.
Quite the debut!
OK -that is it, three French words in one posting. I am done :)

Thx Brad
And that was just a sprinkling from my e-Library. I'll go through and send another few batches of info when I get a chance- gotta keep the attachment file sizes down, hence multiple bursts.0 -
Thanks for your generosity, Geoff.
I was able to use all that you sent except for the ASHRAE articles (copyright issues there). You're helping so many people by sharing your collection. Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
Outstanding job Dan!
Why am I not surprised(G). I just spent (invested) 8-hours investigating a 1901 church building to take info (and 200+ pictures!) so that we can begin unraveling the mechanical mayhem and start building designs to slash fuel use. Maybe we'll start with the 9 to 11 PSI steam pressure setting?
Solar is in the mix as they've got acres of roof space.
Thanks Pal.0 -
great info
I'll be reading for days !!!
Thanks Dan, Geoff and everyone for the articles and sites.

It would be very "coolth" were we to have a building program where we could design the entire building as a system plug in all relevant materials and control strategies location surroundings .hit a button check all meaningful parameters...hit another button..with "suggested" alternatives....when ever a unique or new outcome was collected the results went into the archive of information from which to draw in another designe..sort of an adaptive always current research and development type tool... just digressing for a moment....
checked out the EU RAY site...wonder why some one outside the EU is excluded from input...... i suppose Siberia is close enough to here0 -
Thanks Dan

here's a site on trenchless re-piping
http://www.nuflowamerica.com/
http://whydig.com/
and also an EPA doc comparing the various trenchless technologies. This helps prevent groundwater pollution and makes pipe replacement far more affordable for residents and municipalities. And saves many yards, sidewalks and streets from being dug up.
Plus a National Research Council doc from Canada. (may have to rename docs more appropriately from my temp names.)
Just having to deal with this........0 -
our berg has one of those machines *~/:)
spendy puppies.
they also have these specialty type viewing machines with like super high speed routers that are articulated ..these in the course of operation adress the individual laterals along the main...there are some "bugs" to the system, as the time of the year in which it is installed and shavered up, tends to have some slightly different aspects to the process....or things change as it were and reinspection is a very real part of the installation..trust me on that one.0 -
