A problem getting stuff for a MAC?

I've been tempted to get a MAC, but boy it's kinda scary to get away from what seems to be the"norm"... even if the norm ain't very normal.

    I haven't found a good one...

... so I used hvac-calc on Virtual PC. See my HVAC-Calc review for more info. Cheers!

    mac

Check out Parallels for Mac. This allows you to run WIndows operating systems (and programs designed for same) on your Mac provided you have an Intel based Mac. I installed it and it works well.

    Hmmm...

... Parallels works great, VMWare is also recommended, I hear. Both require an Intel-based computer, however. Using Bootcamp to switch between Mac and PC is free, but inconvenient by comparison.

For those with G4 or G3-based computers, Virtual-PC does work, albeit slowly. No luck with G5-based computers... VirtualPC was never updated to handle them.

... I wonder whether some of the more popular heat loss programs could work without the need to buy Windows via DarWINE or similar projects. Intel_macs may be able to run such programs already... the PowerPC version is still in it's infancy since it requires a x486 translator...
