EZ Gas Burner is as slick as their commercial gas pieces, the ECT should be a great match. I'd give them a call.
Make sure thay know it's a steam boiler.

We have a ..................

client that we just installed a Peerless ECT05 oil-fired boiler in North Jersey for, and now he wants to remove his oil tank and wants a price to change over to gas!?!?!? We've never installed a conversion burner before but I'd like to give him that option. Any particular brands you recommend? Ones to avoid? Other advice?

On the \"other advice\" front...

If the customer wants to switch over to gas, why not sell the customer a M-C boiler instead? Then at least there'd be some significant natural gas savings vs a conversion burner on a conventional boiler, to help offset the additional investment in their heating system. A boiler this size should have that much more opportunity for fuel savings, because the fuel bills must be pretty significant. I can't see why you wouldn't see a 20 - 25% reduction in fuel use with a M-C boiler, and not many are predicting energy prices to stay very flat for very long.

How long has the new boiler been in place?

Will Peerless even warranty the boiler after conversion?

That model is a steam boiler so a mod/con isn't an option unless there's something I havne't heard! I wish it were true!

Check w/ Peerless and see which burner there boiler has been tested with so you are using a proper burner per their specs. Good luck, Tim
