of new toys with fewer words.

Your paragraphs are the equivalent of buying toothpaste, hair gel, some gum, shampoo and a comb at CVS to disguise the fact that you really want just the condoms underneath them all.

That is what I see :)

What do you think of this...

I deal with control problems ( and some line voltage )and such on my day job...and there have been times where a " True RMS " meter would have helped me get things done faster. I feel I need to do myself some " justice " and get a decent meter ....electrical knowledge has gotten me far , but the business end of a VFD would have me scrambling ( or an undersized " neutral wire " ) .

I'm thinking that this is the best available ( see the kit with the software and cables ). The " Data Logging " ability seems awesome ( and I believe that it will hold 1000 , not 100 entries ). It's about 500 bucks for the kit...let me know your thoughts. - Mike

    Tools

    Without looking at the link...

If you have a need that requires a new tool or extra time utilizing what you already have, look for a something "new".

With regards to "high-tech" tools (unfortunately those [in my area of the country] on the forced-air side of heating still consider a simple manometer "high-tech") buy it--providing you expect you'll be able to understand how to use it to solve your initial problem. Fluke is good stuff..

    like a book...LOL

I want two of everything in the Fluke line ( 123 scopemeter...YEAH !!! ). "Honey...this dudes a " Mechanical Engineer and he says I gotta have this !! ". LOL.

This meter seems to blow everything else out of the water...just wanted conformation of that . That condom rational was on the money though. - M

    Good tools

I have gotten behind on my tool inventory and I need to change that. I've always had the best ( or access to it ) ...( Steamhead showed me what the industry standard combustion anylzer is recently ).

" Good tools don't make for a good mechanic " ...but , they help an avarage guy like me , LOL.-M

    Can't go wrong with Fluke

I have had probably more than a dozen different Fluke instruments over the years and they all worked as advertised. The company stands behind their product very well also. I had a simple 77 series meter that "became submerged" on a job site. It croaked and I stuck it on a shelf in the shop to send in. I found it again about 9 months later and sent it in anyway. They sent me a brand new one for the price of shipping.
